Investigators at the Scarsdale Police Department received a report at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Friday, March 1, of a package theft that had just taken place, Det. Lt. Edward Murphy said.

Murphy said that within minutes of the delivery being dropped off, an African American man wearing a dark colored sweatshirt and hat exited a white SUV that was being driven by a second suspect. The man took the package, returned to the SUV, which took off south on Graham Road toward Lincoln Road.

Police said that it appears that the suspects were following the delivery truck.

The first suspect has been described as a "dark-skinned Hispanic or African American with a small ponytail, wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans, dark baseball hat with a gold emblem and black and white Adidas sneakers."

The second suspect in the SUV - which appears to be a white BMW X5 was not caught on camera, but can be seen "slowly rolling with the passenger door open during the larceny."

Investigators said that detectives have taken photographs of the suspect's footprints and are continuing their investigation into the larceny.

Anyone who has information regarding the incident, or who recognizes the suspect or SUV has been asked to contact investigators at the Scarsdale Police Department by calling (914) 722-1200.
